Hello, I’m Anna. Talking Biology is my brain child and passion project.
Like most people, I decided to start something new during the pandemic and created Talking Biology. A place to share my passion about science and particularly biology.
It was born out of enthusiasm for science and in an air of slight desperation. I finished my Master’s in 2019 and spent the first half of the pandemic desperately job hunting.
This website took a backseat when I found a job in a research lab at Manchester University. Then when I managed to get funding for a PhD at Exeter University in Penryn I decided the days of the website were over. But that was only sense talking, the dream never truly died. I still kept the domain…..
Now is time for the new and improved Talking Biology! This will be my resource to share the joy and happiness I find in science. The more you understand about science and the world around us, the more complex and truly beautiful it becomes.
I hope you can share in my joy as I remind myself of what keeps motivated during the tough days of my PhD.
